This document describes the components and procedures required to specify and deliver a simple low-cost WAGES consumption monitoring and reporting solution, using a Phoenix Contact Nano PLC and AVReporter v3.0 software.
Hardware and Software Requirements AVReporter v3.0 Entrance, Lite, Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Edition nanoNavigator 4.2.0 or newer Phoenix Contact Nano PLC (nlc-035 or nlc-055)
A special WAGES program is loaded into the Nano PLC using nanoNavigator software. The special WAGES programs contain the application logic necessary to allow the PLC to convert pulses (via its digital input points) to enumerated WAGES measurements and places them into holding registers that can be read out via Modbus TCPIP protocol.
nanoNavigator software and loading the project into the Nano PLC 1) Open PLC Program (example: Phoenix Contact WAGES PLC for Electrical Revenue Meter and 4 Impulse Counter) 2) Set PLC Configuration 3) Set Communication settings 4) Loading the project into the Nano PLC
AVReporter software and application creation 1) Download Modbus driver from Component Store 2) Example: Phoenix Contact WAGES PLC for Electrical Revenue Meter and 4 Impulse Counter 3) Set communication settings in AVReporter Add the gateway: Add the device to the gateway: 4) Configure the pulse weight (ScaleFactor):
