Hello, we are looking for an energy management software for our buildings (factories, offices, residential buildings etc), scattered across a large industrial zone. We have found AVReporter as one of the possible solutions, I would have some questions, that could make help us confirm, what to expect from the software.

1 - Can you please confirm the system can support and scale up to 7,500 meters? In reading the provided literature and supporting materials I understand it can. Here I refer to the following note "AVReporter v2.5 can manage more than 500 000 metering points and 1000 users".
As previously noted, the initial project is for one site, where that site has 10 buildings and ~300 meters, total. However if we are successful we will be in a good position to expand the system to an additional 24 sites, each with 10 buildings and ~300 meters per site. In total there could therefore be up to 25 sites >> 250 buildings >> 7500 metering points. Note, each site would have it's own data collection system (ION Enterprise and/or PowerLogicSCADA) to pass data to the AVR system in effect requiring AVR to have 25 database connections.

2 - Can AVR restrict access to meters/data sources such that one site would not have access to another site's data? I want to confirm with you my understanding: AVR employs User Groups (collections of users that have common security rights) which allows data and report access to be segmented by user group. In our project each of the sites as described above could be assigned their own User Group. Is my understanding correct?

3 - Heating and Cooling Degree days - does AVR have a mechanism to calculate/derive HDD/CDD values from temperature data? In other words, if we are importing weather data on a regular basis, does AVR interpret the data and calculate HDD and CDD data values automatically or would we have to request HDD and CDD values from the weather service provider?

4 - I want to confirm that the AVReporter Advanced Edition v2.5 and AVReporter WebPublisher v2.5 (Unlimited Client) software components quoted are one-time costs only.

    Welcome to our forums!

1 - That is correct, our software can easily handle over 7500 meters, in fact it has been already used in projects with significantly more measurement device than that. AVReporter Advanced Edition is able to connect to unlimited amount of external databases, so its able to handle 25 sites (with 25 databases) with ease.

2 - Yes, our web interface (Webpublisher) allows the users to create user-groups, and provide the appropriate reports for them. All they need is a web-browser, no software installation is required.

3 - We have a plugin, called AVR Connection Center, which is designed to import virtually any data, and make calculations with them. Because of this, HDD and CDD calculations should not be an issue.

4 - Our software is one-time cost, after the registration, you are able to use it for unlimited amount of time.

Thank you for the answers, AVReporter indeed looks to be a very nice energy management software.
