1. How to trigger an email for the communication error alarms?

    You can set AlarmGroup’s in Realtime Device manager

    After add a new alarmgroup please click on „Update project modifications” button.
    In AVRWebPublisher module you can create users and security groups. You can bind the Alarmgroup to a security group. Every user who belongs to the security group will receive the email, if you set the same Alarmgroup in realtime device manager module Alarms section.

    Does the communications error alarm belong to any alarm group?

    Open the Realtime_DataService.exe.config file.

    You need find this node:

    The „1” value means the ID of the AlarmGroup.
    Please navigate in Realtime Device Manager to the Alarmgroups section:

    Press the right mouse button on the table and select „Show Id Column”. You will see the ID’s in the first column that you need enter to the above xml script.

    Save the config file and restart the RealTime service from Device Manager or from Windows Services.
